What do you do with the leftovers? is a workshop providing artists with the opportunity to take the time to examine, re-trace, take stock of, and realise the potential of the ‘stuff’ that is leftover from the artistic process of making. Participants are encouraged to think about the by-products of their practice – the tangents, the unrealised ideas and the leftovers – questioning how to turn the things that have been forgotten about, shelved, or disregarded, into the starting point of new artistic projects/artworks/artefacts/artists’ ephemera.

What do you do with the leftovers? was developed for DIY 6, as part of the Live Art Development Agency’s DIY workshop programme. DIY is an opportunity for artists working in Live Art to conceive and run professional development projects for other artists.
