Build it Together (banner)

In the relaxed sessions (where participants were free to come-and-go) 58 people worked together to make the Build It Together banner which draws on histories of radical quilting, union banner making and protest.

During the sessions, we guided conversations around celebrating the power of coming together to achieve change through community building, group effort and collective action.

The phrase Build It Together is taken from LOW PROFILE’s list of mottos (a set of prompts and reminders that guide our work as artists). The statement speaks to our belief in, and commitment to, coming together with others to make great things happen; in the importance of communities and belonging to them, no matter where you come from; and that hope and change comes from people.
