PEOPLE (Plymouth)

PEOPLE (Plymouth) brings hundreds of people who give their time to benefit others together on Plymouth Hoe for a one-off, flash-mob style event.
Volunteers from across Plymouth have signed up to help re-create an archive photograph by standing in line to spell out the word PEOPLE.
This action recognises, celebrates and honours the city’s volunteers and the significant value of giving ‘free-time’ as a gift to others.
The original 1982 image was taken by Devon & Cornwall Police for Plymouth Guild Of Community Service (now Improving Lives Plymouth)
